# Explode 2 vs Trivia Wizard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Trivia Wizard at 100% against Explode 2's 48%. Trivia Wizard also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Explode 2's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 2.8) and ratings volume (6.6K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Explode 2 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Trivia Wizard sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Explode 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Explode 2 has 6.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Explode 2's written reviews are positive against 100% of Trivia Wizard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Explode 2 ships an update every 3 weeks, Trivia Wizard every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
