# Explode 2 vs Extreme

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Explode 2 at 6.9K against Extreme's 224. Explode 2 also leads on chart position (#17 vs #95). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Explode 2 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Extreme sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Explode 2 against 4.9 for Extreme. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Explode 2 has 6.9K ratings behind it against 224, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Explode 2 ships an update every 2 weeks, Extreme every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
