# Quick Notes vs Dim

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dim at none against Quick Notes's 2. Dim also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Quick Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Dim asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dim holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quick Notes has 30 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Quick Notes ships an update every 3 days, Dim every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
