# Quick Notes vs Direct Shot

The clearest difference is update cadence: Quick Notes at every 3 days against Direct Shot's every 6 weeks. Quick Notes also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Direct Shot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Quick Notes ships an update every 3 days, Direct Shot every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
