# Almanac vs BETTERLIST

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Almanac at none against BETTERLIST's 1. Almanac also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). BETTERLIST's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BETTERLIST sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Almanac asks for nothing beyond the download.

BETTERLIST holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Almanac has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Almanac ships an update every 3 weeks, BETTERLIST every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
