# Comic Reader vs Komic

The clearest difference is rating: Komic at 4.9 against Comic Reader's 4.5. Comic Reader's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 62%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comic Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Komic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Komic holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 42 and 50 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Comic Reader's written reviews are positive against 62% of Komic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Comic Reader ships an update fortnightly, Komic every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
