# ReadUp vs ScrolBox

The clearest difference is update cadence: ReadUp at every 10 days against ScrolBox's every 2 months. ReadUp also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReadUp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ScrolBox sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReadUp ships an update every 10 days, ScrolBox every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
