# AI Wallpapers vs Backdrop

The clearest difference is rating: AI Wallpapers at 5.0 against Backdrop's 4.6. AI Wallpapers also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Backdrop's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Wallpapers sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Backdrop sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Wallpapers holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 5 respectively.

AI Wallpapers ships an update every 3 weeks, Backdrop every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
