# Signal Finder vs CellMapper

The clearest difference is ads: CellMapper at none against Signal Finder's shown. CellMapper also leads on ratings volume (749 vs 47) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Signal Finder's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 6%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Signal Finder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and CellMapper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Signal Finder against 4.0 for CellMapper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CellMapper has 749 ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Signal Finder's written reviews are positive against 6% of CellMapper's.

Signal Finder ships an update every 2 months, CellMapper every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
