# Firsts vs kitchen assistant

The clearest difference is update cadence: kitchen assistant at every 4 days against Firsts's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Firsts sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.69 per month and kitchen assistant sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Firsts ships an update fortnightly, kitchen assistant every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
