# Violin Instrument vs Oud Sim

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Violin Instrument at none against Oud Sim's 1. Violin Instrument also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (20 vs 2). Oud Sim's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 20 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oud Sim sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Violin Instrument asks for nothing beyond the download.

Oud Sim holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Violin Instrument has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
