# Postnote vs Jot

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Postnote at 17.0 against Jot's 27.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Postnote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Jot sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Postnote ships an update every 6 weeks, Jot monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
