# FreePhone.io vs Wean

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Wean at 100% against FreePhone.io's 27%. Wean also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.5) and ads (none vs shown). FreePhone.io's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (22 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FreePhone.io sells 16 one-off in-app purchases and Wean sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wean holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FreePhone.io has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of FreePhone.io's written reviews are positive against 100% of Wean's.

FreePhone.io ships an update fortnightly, Wean every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
