# Ecosolex vs LUX Meter

The clearest difference is update cadence: LUX Meter at every 3 days against Ecosolex's every 2 months. Ecosolex's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ecosolex ships an update every 2 months, LUX Meter every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
