# Future Astronaut vs Parrot

The clearest difference is update cadence: Parrot at every 5 days against Future Astronaut's fortnightly. Future Astronaut's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Future Astronaut sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Parrot sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Future Astronaut ships an update fortnightly, Parrot every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
