# Quiver vs Artsteps

The clearest difference is rating: Artsteps at 5.0 against Quiver's 3.6. Artsteps also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Quiver's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 24%) and ratings volume (258 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quiver sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Artsteps asks for nothing beyond the download.

Artsteps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quiver has 258 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Quiver's written reviews are positive against 24% of Artsteps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Quiver ships an update every 6 weeks, Artsteps every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
