# Cornwell Tools vs Hammer Elite

The clearest difference is rating: Hammer Elite at 3.3 against Cornwell Tools's 2.7. Hammer Elite also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 11 months) and chart position (#107 vs unranked). Cornwell Tools's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (75% vs 52%). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hammer Elite sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Cornwell Tools asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hammer Elite holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hammer Elite has 48 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Cornwell Tools's written reviews are positive against 52% of Hammer Elite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cornwell Tools ships an update every 11 months, Hammer Elite fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
