# Heyring vs Scribo

The clearest difference is rating: Scribo at 5.0 against Heyring's 4.5. Heyring's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Heyring sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Scribo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scribo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Heyring's written reviews are positive against 88% of Scribo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Heyring ships an update every 5 days, Scribo every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
