# BlueParrott vs Trimble D2Link 3

The clearest difference is rating: BlueParrott at 4.5 against Trimble D2Link 3's 2.4. BlueParrott also leads on ratings volume (8.1K vs 8). Trimble D2Link 3's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 18%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BlueParrott holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlueParrott has 8.1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of BlueParrott's written reviews are positive against 50% of Trimble D2Link 3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
