# BlueParrott vs FE

The clearest difference is rating: BlueParrott at 4.5 against FE's 3.0. BlueParrott also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and ratings volume (7.6K vs 10). FE's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BlueParrott holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlueParrott has 7.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of BlueParrott's written reviews are positive against 0% of FE's.

BlueParrott ships an update every 6 weeks, FE every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
