# BlueParrott vs Channel Seed

The clearest difference is update cadence: Channel Seed at every 10 days against BlueParrott's every 3 months. Channel Seed also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BlueParrott ships an update every 3 months, Channel Seed every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
