# VPN Pro vs ORYX VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN Pro at 4.6 against ORYX VPN's 4.0. VPN Pro also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (877 vs 4). ORYX VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ORYX VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Pro has 877 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VPN Pro ships an update every 5 days, ORYX VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
