The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pointer IoT at none against TCTEC's 3. Pointer IoT also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). TCTEC's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TCTEC sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Pointer IoT asks for nothing beyond the download.

TCTEC ships an update every 2 weeks, Pointer IoT every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
