# VST vs Applock

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VST at none against Applock's 1. VST also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Applock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. VST asks for nothing beyond the download.

VST ships an update fortnightly, Applock every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
