# PhonHear Smart Hearing vs Ear Spy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ear Spy at weekly against PhonHear Smart Hearing's monthly. PhonHear Smart Hearing's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhonHear Smart Hearing sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $35.00 per 3 months and Ear Spy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
