# JoyPace vs StepBucks

The clearest difference is update cadence: JoyPace at fortnightly against StepBucks's every 6 weeks. JoyPace also leads on review sentiment (34% vs 22%) and ratings volume (9.7K vs 1.9K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for JoyPace against 4.6 for StepBucks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JoyPace has 9.7K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 34% of JoyPace's written reviews are positive against 22% of StepBucks's.

JoyPace ships an update fortnightly, StepBucks every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
