# Ignatius Press vs Catholic Gallery

The clearest difference is rating: Ignatius Press at 4.1 against Catholic Gallery's 3.4. Catholic Gallery's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 40%) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ignatius Press holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Ignatius Press's written reviews are positive against 67% of Catholic Gallery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ignatius Press ships an update every 5 months, Catholic Gallery every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
