# PG Citizen vs CHEK Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: CHEK Mobile at 5.0 against PG Citizen's 4.5. CHEK Mobile also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 16 months). PG Citizen's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 15%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CHEK Mobile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of PG Citizen's written reviews are positive against 15% of CHEK Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PG Citizen ships an update every 16 months, CHEK Mobile every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on August 20, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
