# 48 MP vs 5sec.

The clearest difference is ads: 48 MP at none against 5sec.'s shown. 5sec.'s advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 48 MP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and 5sec. sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

48 MP ships an update every 3 months, 5sec. weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
