# OCR Germany vs Nemeko

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nemeko at every 9 days against OCR Germany's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OCR Germany sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year and Nemeko sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OCR Germany ships an update monthly, Nemeko every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
