# Desmos Graphing Calculator vs Mistar

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Desmos Graphing Calculator at 1.3K against Mistar's 2. Desmos Graphing Calculator also leads on chart position (#112 vs unranked). Mistar's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mistar holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desmos Graphing Calculator has 1.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Desmos Graphing Calculator ships an update every 2 months, Mistar every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
