# DIGEN vs Motionly

The clearest difference is rating: Motionly at 4.3 against DIGEN's 3.0. DIGEN's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 33%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DIGEN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Motionly sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Motionly holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 21 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of DIGEN's written reviews are positive against 33% of Motionly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DIGEN ships an update fortnightly, Motionly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
