# Church's Texas Chicken® vs Split Pay

The clearest difference is rating: Church's Texas Chicken® at 4.9 against Split Pay's 4.2. Church's Texas Chicken® also leads on ratings volume (109K vs 23) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Split Pay's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 63%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Church's Texas Chicken® holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Church's Texas Chicken® has 109K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Church's Texas Chicken®'s written reviews are positive against 89% of Split Pay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Church's Texas Chicken® ships an update fortnightly, Split Pay every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
