# Big Half vs Jacks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Big Half at none against Jacks's 2. Jacks's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jacks sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Big Half asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Big Half against 5.0 for Jacks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jacks has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Big Half ships an update every 12 months, Jacks every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
