# ScentSphere vs Prefume

ScentSphere and Prefume both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Prefume's written reviews are positive against 50% of ScentSphere's. Prefume also leads on ads (none vs shown). ScentSphere's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScentSphere sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Prefume sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for ScentSphere against 5.0 for Prefume. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScentSphere has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of ScentSphere's written reviews are positive against 100% of Prefume's.

ScentSphere ships an update weekly, Prefume every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
