# Censor vs Face Blur AI

The clearest difference is ads: Face Blur AI at none against Censor's shown. Face Blur AI also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). Censor's advantage is ratings volume (64 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Censor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Face Blur AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Face Blur AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Censor has 64 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Censor ships an update monthly, Face Blur AI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
