# DayCalc Pro vs WatchNotes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WatchNotes at none against DayCalc Pro's 9. WatchNotes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). DayCalc Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (177 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

DayCalc Pro costs $0.99 and WatchNotes $0.99 up front. DayCalc Pro sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. WatchNotes asks for nothing beyond the download.

WatchNotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DayCalc Pro has 177 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DayCalc Pro ships an update every 6 weeks, WatchNotes every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
