# Learn Metasploit vs Hacktivate

The clearest difference is rating: Hacktivate at 4.7 against Learn Metasploit's 3.0. Hacktivate also leads on review sentiment (88% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). Learn Metasploit's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn Metasploit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hacktivate sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
