# DLC vs Disney D23

The clearest difference is rating: Disney D23 at 3.1 against DLC's 2.0. Disney D23 also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (94 vs 24). DLC's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Disney D23 holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 24 and 94 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of DLC's written reviews are positive against 13% of Disney D23's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DLC ships an update every 9 months, Disney D23 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
