# Notebook vs Diamond Glitter Diary

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Diamond Glitter Diary at none against Notebook's 1. Diamond Glitter Diary also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). Notebook's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price and review sentiment there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notebook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Diamond Glitter Diary asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 14K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Notebook's written reviews are positive against 78% of Diamond Glitter Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notebook ships an update weekly, Diamond Glitter Diary every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
