# Con Edison vs Clean Rite Pay

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Con Edison at 125K against Clean Rite Pay's 452. Con Edison also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Clean Rite Pay's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 48%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Con Edison holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Con Edison has 125K ratings behind it against 452, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Con Edison's written reviews are positive against 71% of Clean Rite Pay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Con Edison ships an update every 6 weeks, Clean Rite Pay every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
