# TV Movie vs HD+

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: HD+ at none against TV Movie's 1. HD+ also leads on ads (none vs shown). TV Movie's advantage is review sentiment (92% vs 71%) and ratings volume (21 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Movie sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. HD+ asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for TV Movie against 4.0 for HD+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Movie has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of TV Movie's written reviews are positive against 71% of HD+'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
