# ACT Prep vs ACT Genius

The clearest difference is update cadence: ACT Genius at every 2 months against ACT Prep's every 8 months. ACT Prep's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ACT Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ACT Genius sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ACT Prep ships an update every 8 months, ACT Genius every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
