# Visual Pinball vs Big Red Racing

The clearest difference is price: Visual Pinball at Free against Big Red Racing's $4.99. Visual Pinball also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 50%) and ratings volume (74 vs 2). Big Red Racing's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and device support (4 vs 2). On update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Visual Pinball is free to download; Big Red Racing costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Big Red Racing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visual Pinball has 74 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Visual Pinball's written reviews are positive against 50% of Big Red Racing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Visual Pinball ships an update every 12 months, Big Red Racing every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
