# Drawing Pad vs Drawing Painting Coloring Arts

The clearest difference is rating: Drawing Pad at 4.3 against Drawing Painting Coloring Arts's 3.4. Drawing Pad also leads on ratings volume (198 vs 9) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). Drawing Painting Coloring Arts's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (40% vs 30%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drawing Pad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Drawing Painting Coloring Arts sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drawing Pad holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drawing Pad has 198 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Drawing Pad's written reviews are positive against 40% of Drawing Painting Coloring Arts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drawing Pad ships an update monthly, Drawing Painting Coloring Arts every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
