# AI Note Taker vs Countdown

The clearest difference is update cadence: AI Note Taker at monthly against Countdown's every 6 months. AI Note Taker also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Note Taker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Note Taker ships an update monthly, Countdown every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
