# VPN Proxy© vs StarVPN

The clearest difference is rating: StarVPN at 4.4 against VPN Proxy©'s 3.0. StarVPN also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 50%) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). VPN Proxy©'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Proxy© sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and StarVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StarVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StarVPN has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of VPN Proxy©'s written reviews are positive against 89% of StarVPN's.

VPN Proxy© ships an update every 2 weeks, StarVPN every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
