# PRLeveling vs Monarch

The clearest difference is monetization model: PRLeveling at free with in-app purchases against Monarch's subscription. PRLeveling also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and review sentiment (54% vs 29%). Monarch's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PRLeveling sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Monarch sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PRLeveling holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33 and 94 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of PRLeveling's written reviews are positive against 29% of Monarch's.

PRLeveling ships an update every 3 weeks, Monarch every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
