# The OCD App vs Real

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The OCD App at none against Real's 1. The OCD App also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.6). Real's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Real sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. The OCD App asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for The OCD App against 5.0 for Real. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Real has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The OCD App ships an update every 4 months, Real every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
