# CleverType vs Routine Grid

The clearest difference is update cadence: Routine Grid at every 4 days against CleverType's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CleverType sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Routine Grid sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CleverType ships an update fortnightly, Routine Grid every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
